Wellbeing & Care
Care is a priority for our Villagers
For most of our Villagers, life at The Village Coorparoo is all about staying independent and socially involved. That’s why we offer three levels of care that deliver a range of activities and assistance that’s tailored to meet each resident’s needs.
Social and wellbeing activities
We believe that keeping both your body and mind active is the key to enjoying life and staying healthy. To do so, we offer a number of regular activities to our Villagers. Whether it’s joining, playing mahjong each week, taking part in Tai Chi or Pilates classes, or joining the craft and chat group, or coffee club and Heartmovers classes there’s a group activity for most interests.
We can arrange care support and/or care services on your behalf or through a government subsidised home care package. These services include:
- assistance accessing home care services
- daily meals
- cleaning and laundry
- medical and nursing
- allied health (physiotherapy, podiatry and audiology)
- personalised exercise programs.
Extra care is on hand
Within The Village Coorparoo is the brand new Casa D’Amore aged care facility. This brand new 105-bed care facility is operated by Queensland Rehabilitation Services – a family owned organisation that has operated three aged care facilities in the local area since 1973. Of these beds, 72 will be designated to low care, with 33 for high care patients including 3 respite care beds. If the time comes, it enables a seamless transition from independent living into aged care. Being so close also means that couples can still be near one another if one requires additional care.
